Discipleship Ministry

The Discipleship Ministry Team, responsible for Christian education of all age groups, is divided into ministries based on eight major areas:

Adult Sunday School

Gather with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ at one of the following adult Sunday school hours: 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.

Topics and discussion studies vary and are ongoing.

Nursery for infant to 2 years of age is available during the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services.

Children's Sunday School

During the 9:30 a.m. service, age- appropriate classes include Bible stories and interesting activities to help reinforce the main idea of the given lesson. The classes are as follows: Sr. High, Jr. High, 4th & 5th grade, 2nd & 3rd grade, 5 yrs.-1st grade, and 3 yrs.-4 yrs.

Primary/Junior Church

The Primary/Junior Church program is conducted during the 11:00 a.m. service immediately preceding the pastor's message. The program focuses on active participation in worshiping and learning more about God. The lessons during this time follow up with the lessons previously taught in Sunday School. There is time for answering questions and becoming involved in creative, new ways of learning the lesson through drama, arts/crafts, and games.

Jr. High and Sr. High Youth Group

Eden's Youth Pastor Mark Anderson conducts youth group class on Sunday mornings at 9:30 to allow students to connect to other students their age and begin relationships that will enhance their walk with God. The Sunday evening youth group meets from 6:00-7:30. Students gather to begin, continue, and guide others in becoming authentic, devoted, and fruitful followers of Jesus Christ. Fellowship events and youth group activities are planned throughout the year. Eden is proud of its youth program!

Small Group Bible Studies

Small groups are vital to fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. To know more about being a part of a small group, contact Associate Pastor Dan Bentz.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Eden has great VBS programs for all age groups to learn more about the love of Christ Jesus. Snacks, recreation, and great stories from God's Word help liven up the summer for all who participate.

Summer Camp

Camp Living Waters (CLW) is a United Brethren camp located in Luther, Michigan. Each summer our children look forward to visiting this great camp where they are involved in learning God's Word, growing in their spiritual lives, and participating in many fun activities. CLW is located on 100 acres, including a lake, and surrounded by the Pere Marquette State Forest. Summer camps are a week long, and there are several weeks from which to choose. Additional adult weekend retreats are held throughout the year.

Music Ministry

Adult Choir - Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 8:00-9:30 p.m. The choir presents two cantatas each year. Contact Margaret Maybee, Minister of Music, for more information.

Praise Band - Practices are held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30p.m. Contact Rodney Lane, Director, for more information.

Youth Choirs - The Angel Choir (grades 1st through 5th) rehearses on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6:00-6:45 p.m. The Middle School Choir (grades 6th and 7th) rehearses on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00-6:45 p.m.

ECHO (Eden Church Helping Others)

The ECHO (Eden Church Helping Others) Team is a group dedicated to helping others in our church, our community and our world. The ECHO Team is comprised of individuals who have a heart to support others through practical help, financial assistance and prayer support. The team supports local missions such as Youth Haven Ranch, Lansing City Rescue Mission, police and fire department, Angel House, and more. It also sponsors two children of lepers in India, missionaries in Macau, China, Spain, Sierra Leone, West Africa and Jamaica. The ECHO Team assists people in this community who need such financial assistance as home repairs, food, clothing, yard work, etc. In addition to this, the ECHO Team provides prayer support to individuals in need.
